You spin me right round baby, right round

Today has been a day of twirling for me and my little girl, as we have done our chores we have found lots of things that spin around, washing machines, fan ovens etc. So when I ran out of yarn she wanted to help wind some more and we watched the swift spin wildly, she spun the handle and watched the wool spin magically round into a ball.

It held her attention long enough to wind all three balls - not bad for a three year old!

And she is justifiably rather pleased with her work. These balls probably won't be smooth to crochet from. I will probably end up unpicking a few tangles. But I will do it cheerfully as I think about the fun she had, the skill she learnt, the confidence she gained and the memory we have made.

She is rather hoping there will be enough left over to knit her a pair of hand warmers as the wool is "so soft and purple is my favourite!" This little one has great taste, the yarn is Artesano BFL DK.

(oh and the title, you'll be singing it all day now. You're welcome!)

  1. Love this! I have lovely memories and photos of eldest helping to make bread/garden/cook etc. Things he has continued into adulthood. It is so important to DO!
